Our RF Solutions

Microwave Office

Microwave Office is a powerful circuit design software tailored for high-frequency and RF/microwave applications. Renowned for its intuitive interface and advanced simulation capabilities, it is trusted by leading manufacturers worldwide to deliver first-pass design success.

With RF-aware layout, high-frequency models, and a robust harmonic balance (HB) simulator, MWO enables accurate and efficient design of complex RF systems. It supports both linear and nonlinear simulations, allowing engineers to analyze and optimize circuit performance across a wide range of operating conditions.

Microwave Office

Microwave Office – Linear

Microwave Office offers powerful linear simulation tools for designing and analyzing RF and microwave circuits under small-signal conditions. It is ideal for developing both passive and active components, including:

  • Passive devices: filters, couplers, and attenuators

  • Active devices: low-noise amplifiers (LNAs) and buffer amplifiers

Key linear analyses supported include:

  • S-parameters and related forms (Y, Z, H, ABCD matrices).

  • Small-signal gain, return loss, and VSWR.

  • Noise figure and stability analysis.

Designers also benefit from:

  • Real-time tuning and optimization tools.

  • Yield analysis for improved first-pass design success.

Modelithics Integration with AWR

S-parameters are the most widely used representation for passive devices. They offer a linear behavior model that is simple and convenient to use.
However, S-parameter files are limited; they represent only one specific substrate, which restricts scalability and design flexibility.

Why Use Modelithics Models?

Modelithics provides advanced, measurement-based models that overcome the limitations of traditional S-parameters. These models are highly scalable, making them ideal for tuning, optimization, and accurate design simulation.

Key Advantages:

  • Part-Value Scalability: Models scale with component values for easy tuning and optimization.

  • Measurement-Based Accuracy: Built from precise lab data for exceptional realism.

  • Substrate Scalability: Models account for changes in substrate height and material, ensuring consistemt performance across different designs.
